Noted YCP leader and former MLA, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, landed in legal soup as a Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act has been filed against him.
Getting into details, AP police have filed a case against Chevireddy under the POCSO Act for spreading the false news of a minor girl getting raped in Yerravaripalem mandal in Tirupati district.

The case was filed when the girl’s father filed a complaint saying that Chevireddy had been spreading fake news about his daughter. Apart from Chevireddy, the police have registered the POCSO case on a few others as well and started the investigation.
Action is expected to be taken against Chevireddy and other accused individuals very soon. Meanwhile, he is ye to respond to this case.

Chevireddy, who worked as Chandragiri MLA in the past, contested for the Ongole MP seat this time. However, he lost to Magunta Sreenivasulu Reddy. On the other hand, his son Chevireddy Mohit Reddy contested from Chandragiri and lost to TDP’s Pulivarthi Venkata Mani Prasad.
