Although Pushpa 2: The Rule is stated to be one of the most-awaited films, the list also includes Kantara: Chapter 1, which is expected to turn out to be something better compared to the previous film.
Meanwhile, the film is facing a roadblock now as a few junior artists working in Rishab Shetty’s prequel have met with an accident.

The artists were traveling in a vehicle that overturned near Jadkal, located close to Kollur, Karnataka. The group was shooting in Mudoor.
While the current situation of the injured is yet to be revealed, they have been transported to the Jadkaal Mahalakshmi Clinic. Apart from this, the shooting schedule of the prequel has also come to a halt and impacted the ongoing work at different coastal spots.

The accident happens at a time when Kantara: Chapter 1 has entered the third schedule and filming is expected to wrap up in a short period. The film is currently 11 months away from release.
Meanwhile, the ongoing condition has hinted that there might be a change in the release date. However, it might not be delayed by a few months and there could be a change by a few weeks.

Considering that 11 months is a long time, it seems like things would be completed by then. But even if filming is wrapped up in time, there are other departments to be taken care of.
The film’s budget is Rs. 500 crores, which is more than the first one. This proves that there will be a lot of VFX work, and this is going to consume a lot of time.
The current release date is fixed for October 1 next year and it remains to be seen if there will be some changes. Apart from Kannada, the film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
