Director Sukumar always runs with the closest of timelines. The fact that he kept Pushpa in the post production phase even two days before the release showcased the same.

Now, again with Pushpa 2, he appears to be doing something similar as he is running on extremely tight schedules again. As Sukumar is still occupied with production, he is unable to partake in the events in Bihar and Chennai.
Bunny too confirmed that Sukumar is looking after the production activities and that is why he is unable to make it to these promotional tours.

If we look at the other major league directors like Rajamouli and Koratala Siva, the situation is completely different. Rajamouli had RRR ready much in advance of release and same with Koratala for Devara.
Both these A-listers had the luxury of taking some time off after production and then happily partake in the promotions.

But in the case of Sukumar, he is making the road painful for himself by keeping himself occupied with the filming till the very last day.
After having three years time to execute Pushpa 2, one would expect a director to carefully execute the production and have some time off before the release. But the exact opposite is the case with Sukumar.
While Rajamouli and Koratala could happily prepare their products on time and then come out to promote their films, Sukumar is going the opposite way by keeping himself busy till the last day. Though this might be his style of work, there are some shortcomings associated with the same, we must say.
