Suriya’s Kanguva, directed by Siruthai Siva, which was released in theaters on November 14th, has acquired negative responses from the audience and ended up as an ultra disaster.
In this scenario, as per reports, the OTT release of this movie is going to happen sooner than planned on the Amazon Prime OTT platform due to the poor theatrical run.

Kanguva was made with a budget of around 350 crores and is said to be the proper Pan-Indian movie from Kollywood and has been released on more than 10,000+ screens across the world.
Also, the team initially made the OTT deal with the Amazon Prime OTT platform and planned to release the movie in OTT after 8 weeks of its theatrical release to secure North Indian multiplexes, which allows the movies to screen with an 8-week OTT window and also for a long theatrical run.

The audiences who have watched the movie bashed the movie with negative reviews, as other than visuals, the story and screenplay are the worst and outdated.
After the negative responses from the audiences and critics, audiences weren’t showing interest in watching this movie in theaters, and the theatrical collections were much poorer than expected.

So now, as per speculations, the OTT release of Kanguva is going to happen soon, as the team was planning to reduce the OTT window to 4 weeks.
