Cocktail was a fan favourite amongst the youth when it released in 2012. Starring Deepika Padukone, Saif Ali Khan and Diana Penty in lead roles it was a romantic comedy that was just the right blend of fun and emotions.
Homi Adjania, the director of Cocktail, is ready to bring a sequel with Maddock Films. Dinesh Vijan and Homi have been working closely on the script and rumour has it that they wish to begin shooting by mid-2025.

The leading man in the film is speculated to be Shahid Kapoor. Sources confirmed that he has shown a keen interest in the project but he’s yet to sign it officially.
The female leads still remain unknown but it is surely a treat to the Cocktail fans to have a sequel of their favourite film. Shahid has worked with Maddock Films with Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya which was a mild performer.

With Cocktail’s sequel the hope would be much higher this time. But before Cocktail 2 Shahid will finish shooting Vishal Bhardwaj’s sequel as the gangster Hussain Ustara.
