Pongal 2025 is getting bigger in Kollywood as the legendary directors of Kollywood clash with each other this Pongal with their most anticipated projects.
Shankar, after the disaster of the Indian 2 movie, is back with Game Changer with Ram Charan in the lead, which was officially confirmed for its theatrical release on January 10th.

In this scenario a few days ago, Director Bala’s Vanangaan, starring Arun Vijay in the lead, was officially announced by the production team that the movie is going to be released on January 10th as a Pongal special.
Director Bala’s last hit movie was Paradesi, which was released in the year 2013. After Paradesi, his next 2 movies, such as Tharai Thappattai and Naachiyaar, ended up as average ones. After these two movies, he started the remake of Arjun Reddy, which is Varmaa, but it’s been shelved, and the half-baked movie was then released on OTT.

Also on the other side, Shankar, till the movie 2.0 was the brand of Kollywood, but 2.0 didn’t meet the expectations of the audiences and ended up as an average one; also, his last release, Indian 2, ended up as a disaster.
