Initially, there were expectations that the 2025 Sankranthi would be relatively low-key, without much hype.

However, right after the 2024 Sankranthi, the announcements for the 2025 Sankranthi began rolling in.

Megastar’s Vishwambhara was announced as one of the big releases for the festival, followed by the announcement of Sundeep Kishan’s film Majaka. But things took an unexpected turn and both films got postponed.

Meanwhile, Ajith’s film Good Bad Ugly was added to the Sankranti lineup.

Nandamuri Balakrishna and Bobby’s film Daaku Maharaj, Ram Charan’s Game Changer, and Venkatesh-Anil Ravipudi’s Sankranthiki Vasthunnam were all set for a Sankranti release.

Interestingly, two of these films are being produced under the Dil Raju banner. Additionally, Dil Raju will also handle the distribution of the Balakrishna-Bobby film in the Nizam region.

On the other hand, Ajith’s Good Bad Ugly is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers. While the official announcement regarding its release date was pending, there was widespread speculation that it would be released on January 13 or 15.

However, recent reports suggest that the film may now be released on January 10.

If this happens, it could create a challenge for Game Changer, especially in Tamil Nadu.

Since Ajith is a major star, his film’s bookings in Tamil are likely to be strong, which could impact the box office performance of Game Changer.

Given that Game Changer is a pan-India film with a high budget, its opening might not be as strong as anticipated if it faces direct competition from Ajith’s film in the Tamil market.

Despite Tamil legend Shankar directing the film, Game Changer might suffer badly due to Good Bad Ugly.
