Sukumar seems to have taken this criticism seriously and has portrayed women in a much better way in the sequel, Pushpa 2 — at least, that’s what the trailer suggests.
In the trailer, Pushpa says, “I will show how a man can win the world by following his wife’s words.” In one scene, Allu Arjun rubs Rashmika’s feet in his beard suggesting the ‘Thaggede le’ dialogue.

Allu Arjun’s chemistry with Rashmika Mandanna looks endearing and emotional. The husband-wife love story adds an emotional core to balance the crime elements, making it a wholesome commercial mass entertainer for the Indian audience.
Inside reports suggest the scenes between the couple have come out exceptionally well.

If this emotional aspect comes out well in the film, Pushpa 2 might win strong support from the female audience, which could give it long legs at the box office.
