Suriya’s Kanguva is struggling heavily at the box office. After a disappointing Friday, the film barely improved on Saturday, grossing 10.5 crore.
Its three-day total stands at 47 crore in India, with the four-day extended weekend likely ending at 57 crore.

However, the makers have released a poster that the film has collected 89.42 crores worldwide gross in two days.
Tamil Nadu showed minimal growth, while Karnataka and the Hindi belt remained flat or went further down.

According to box office experts, Tamil Nadu contributed 20 crore, AP/TS 10 crore, Karnataka 3 crore, Kerala 5 crore, and the rest of India 10 crore.
The makers claimed that the film would cross 2000 crores at the box office. But now even 100 crore looks tough, according to trade pundits.

The film needed 400 crore worldwide gross to break even but is expected to fall short of even 100 crore globally.
Negative audience feedback and weak occupancies outside Tamil Nadu have made Kanguva an epic disaster.
Suriya’s theatrical comeback after five years has failed to revive his box-office success. His dry spell has been going on since Singam 2 in 2013 which was his last big hit. All eyes will be on his next with Karthik Subbaraj.
