Abbas-Mastaan brought Baazigar to the Indian theatres in 1993 and the film established itself as a cult classic with its dark-thriller appeal. Ratan Jain might be willing to utilise the recall factor of this timeless piece of cinema on the big screens again, and maybe with a new touch.
Before Baazigar, Bollywood actors would stick to heroic roles but this film changed the scenario and films like Anjaam and Darr also came after it. Shah Rukh Khan’s performance as a grey character was loved by all and his character Vicky Malhotra became a fan favourite.
