PM Modi to attend G20 Summit in Brazil, visit Nigeria and Guyana from November 16-20: Full schedule

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will set out on a three-nation tour from November 16 to 21, with visits scheduled in Nigeria, Brazil, and Guyana to strengthen bilateral and multilateral ties.
This tour will mark historic milestones, as PM Modi will become the first Indian Prime Minister in 17 years to visit Nigeria and the first since 1968 to make a state visit to Guyana.
At the invitation of Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, PM Modi will visit Nigeria from November 16-17, engaging in high-level talks to advance the strategic partnership established in 2007 between the two nations. In addition to discussing expanded collaboration in the fields of economy, energy, and defense, PM Modi is expected to meet with the Indian community in Nigeria.
India has invested over USD 27 billion in Nigeria through more than 200 Indian companies, the ministry of external affairs (MEA) highlighted, reflecting a robust economic and developmental partnership.
Following his Nigeria visit, PM Modi will attend the G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from November 18-19, hosted by Brazilian President Luis Inacio Lula Da Silva. India, currently part of the G20 Troika alongside Brazil and South Africa, will actively contribute to this summit’s agenda, building on India’s recent G20 presidency and the “Voice of the Global South” summits.
During the summit, the Prime Minister is expected to put forward India’s stance on key global issues, including sustainable development and economic stability, while engaging in bilateral discussions with several world leaders on the sidelines.
PM Modi’s final stop will be Guyana, where he will undertake a state visit from November 19-21 at the invitation of Guyanese President Mohamed Irfaan Ali. The visit comes a year after President Ali’s trip to India, where he was honored as the Chief Guest at the 17th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in Indore. During his time in Georgetown, PM Modi will address the Parliament of Guyana and meet with Indian diaspora members, highlighting India’s cultural and diplomatic connections with the Caribbean region.
Additionally, PM Modi will participate in the Second CARICOM-India Summit, strengthening India’s ties with the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and discussing avenues for cooperation on critical issues such as climate resilience and economic development.
