Not CBN, Sharmila Is The Real Pain

Not CBN, Sharmila Is The Real Pain

APCC president YS Sharmila lashed out at her brother and YCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for boycotting the AP Assembly Sessions, which started today. She said that people didn’t vote for him to skip the assembly, citing silly reasons like not being given the mic. She challenged Jagan and 10 other YCP MLAs to resign if they don’t have the courage to enter the assembly.

Sharmila criticised Jagan and YCP MLAs when they boycotted July Assembly sessions as well. Today, she once again criticised them for the same. More than TDP and Jana Sena, it is Sharmila who is constantly pursuing this issue and attacking Jagan.

Taking to X, Sharmila wrote, “People didn’t vote for you to speak from your own mic while sitting at home. Your own actions made you lose the opposition leader status, and saying that you would only enter the assembly if opposition status is given proves your lack of knowledge and ignorance.”

Sharmila said that the Assembly is a temple of democracy and provides an opportunity to question the government regarding the people and the issues they are facing.

“NDA government’s Super-Six promises aren’t fulfilled yet. Law and order have gone for a toss in the state. The belt shop business hasn’t been stopped. Unemployment is rising. People gave YCP a chance to speak on these issues in the assembly, and instead of attending, you are saying you will enter only if opposition status is given, which is a shame,” stated Sharmila.

Sharmila reminded that in 1994, Congress didn’t act like Jagan when it won only 26 seats in the erstwhile AP Assembly and fought against TDP. “Even in Parliament, Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge never asked for opposition status to speak for people’s issues when Congress won only 44 seats in 2014 and 52 seats in 2018,” she pointed out.

Sharmila urged Jagan to attend the assembly at least now and speak out against the government regarding the issues people are facing.
