Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki and Prabhas’ Salaar clash was one of the ugliest clashes in the industry in the last few years. The fan wars crossed all limits, and even the makers went out of their way to destroy each other’s films.
Now, Salaar’s director Prashanth Neel has apologized to Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani for clashing with their film.

In an interview with a journalist, Prashanth Neel said, “We had only that date of December 22 to release. Shah Rukh Khan had announced Dunki to be released during Christmas almost a year ago. It was wrong on our part to clash with them. But due to astrological reasons and the producer’s beliefs, we had to come on that date. I apologize to Shah Rukh Khan and the team of Dunki.”
He also added, “Prabhas, Prithviraj, and I were not involved in the release date decision. The producer decided to clash, as he believes in astrology a lot and doesn’t deviate from it. We just had to agree reluctantly.”

But this clash ruined the potential of both movies. Dunki would have crossed the 500 crore mark worldwide, and Salaar would have easily crossed the 200 crores net figure in Hindi.
What’s the use of such astrology if it only results in losses for both parties concerned?
