WhatsApp has shared its monthly report for September 2024 which highlights user complaints and account bans in India.
From September 1 to September 30, WhatsApp received 8,161 complaints from users in India. 3,744 complaints were appeals from users whose accounts had been banned.

This indicates that many users are worried about why their accounts were suspended and how they can get them back.
During this month, WhatsApp took action on 97 accounts, either banning or restoring them based on the complaints.

In total, WhatsApp banned 8,584,000 accounts in India in September. Of these, 1,658,000 accounts were banned proactively before any complaints were made by users.
Privacy is a key focus for WhatsApp, as they continue to use end-to-end encryption to safeguard users’ personal messages from unauthorized access.
