Superstar Hrithik Roshan’s Next Remake: Another Blunder?

It seems like the trend of remakes is not going to end soon. As per exclusive reports from a source, Hrithik Roshan is reportedly preparing to bring an adaptation of Will Smith’s I Am Legend.

While an official announcement has not been made yet, Hrithik is producing the film through his production banner and had previously spoken to director Kabir Khan to helm the project. However, things did not materialize for unknown reasons.

Meanwhile, a search is on to find the best director, and further updates on the same are currently awaited. But it seems like it is going to take a lot of time since Hrithik is currently working on War 2, following which he will move to Krrish 4.

Remakes have never been a bad choice since they have helped producers to earn a lot. The credit specifically goes to the existence of single screens despite that most of them were closed down due to the losses suffered as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

But makers still need to understand the choices of the audiences have changed in the last few years. Everyone is searching for unique content, and because of this many people avoid visiting theatres and opt for OTT, even if the lead role is played by a big superstar.

Now coming to Hrithik’s project, adapting a popular Hollywood film might not be a good choice. We all have witnessed what happened with Aamir Khan’s Lal Singh Chaddha two years ago. So, it is always better to bring something new that has never been attempted in the past.

If Hrithik is still willing to work on the adaptation, it must be made in such a way that can leave an impression on the Indian audience.

Makers need to ensure that they don’t just copy and paste the original film. They have to make some additional changes to the screenplay like what was done in Drishyam 2.
