One of the highest civilian honours in the country, Padma Awards 2023, were announced by the Central Government of India on the eve of the 74th Republic Day. Actress Raveena Tandon and MM Keeravani, the composer of the super-hit song ‘Naatu Naatu‘ have been given the Padma Shri Award. Music maestro Zakir Hussain, who is India’s most famous tabla player in the post-independence era, has received the Padma Vibhushan which is the second-highest civilian honour.
