A few days ago, a team of Congress ministers, leaders, and a group of media personnel and bureaucrats visited Seoul to study the rejuvenation of the Cheonggyecheon River, with plans to apply similar efforts to rejuvenate the Musi River in Hyderabad.
During the trip, Telangana cabinet minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy made headlines in Telugu media with his bold statements, claiming that political “fireworks” would erupt in Telangana before Diwali.

He announced that several top BRS leaders allegedly involved in scandals, such as the Dharani portal scam, Kaleshwaram Project scam, and phone-tapping scandal, would be arrested soon. He added that evidence had already been gathered, and actions were expected before the Seoul team’s return to Hyderabad.
However, three days have passed since the team landed back in Hyderabad. With Diwali halfway over, Ponguleti’s predicted political “fireworks” have yet to materialize in Telangana.

The only major event in recent days was a raid on the Janwada farmhouse belonging to KTR’s brother-in-law, Raj Pakala. But it did not majorly impact BRS and does not appear to be the “fireworks” Ponguleti hinted at.
This delay has led people to question whether Ponguleti’s statements were genuine or just intended to distract people from the backlash the Congress party is facing over issues like HYDRAA, the Musi Rejuvenation project, the Loan Waiver scheme, and the Six Guarantees.
