70,000 Cr Investment Incoming For Andhra Pradesh!

During the previous YCP government in Andhra Pradesh, companies were reluctant to invest due to unfavorable governance. However, with the recent change in leadership, the state’s development is regaining momentum. The NDA government, led by Chandrababu Naidu, is now actively working to attract investments from prominent companies, driving growth in Andhra Pradesh.

Steel giant ArcelorMittal, in association with Japan’s Nippon Steel, has proposed to invest a massive Rs. 1,40,000 crore in two phases in Anakapalli, Andhra Pradesh. It is reported that even the government of Andhra Pradesh responded positively to the proposal. According to sources, Rs. 70,000 crore will be invested by the company as part of the initial phase, marking the largest investment in the industrial sector of Andhra Pradesh.

This integrated steel plant will be set up at Nakkapalli near Rajayyapet in the Anakapalle district. The first phase of the industry is expected to be completed by January 2029. The companies have also sought permission to set up port and railway yards for captive needs.
