The ongoing test series between India and New Zealand is not going well for the host nation, India as we are on the brink of losing the 3-match series to the visitors.

After having lost the opening test already, India is on the verge of losing the second test as well in Pune. India is left with only three wickets in the big chase of 359.
Coming to the point, the successive failures of India, including this series, and the earlier hiccups against Sri Lanka and New Zealand have become a cause for concern.

The blame is being pushed onto the new head coach of the Indian team, Gautam Gambhir. Under his regime, India has been rather wobbly with the gameplay and results. The team is gradually losing more and more games under his leadership.
After a heroic stint for KKR, Gambhir was tipped to be the next big thing but the results haven’t been quite positive. India is suffering from mixed results and the kind of stability that was seen under Rahul Dravid is missing in this case.
