Jr NTR Responsible for Karan Johar’s Downfall?

The infamous fan wars between Ram Charan and NTR supporters on social media have become increasingly brutal and, at times, downright silly.

Recently, Karan Johar sold 50% of his Dharma Productions shares for ₹1,000 crores due to financial stress caused by consistent underperformance of his films and OTT projects, including the latest releases, Jigra and Call Me Bae.

Even tentpole films like Brahmastra and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani have resulted in losses for him.

Now, some Ram Charan fans are claiming that Karan Johar went bankrupt after associating with NTR’s latest film, Devara, as its presenter.

They argue that since Devara did not emerge as a major box office success, this led to Karan Johar’s decision to sell half of his company’s stakes.

However, this claim is ridiculous.

Devara only needed to earn ₹70 crores net in Hindi to break even. It performed fairly well, ending up as an above-average film for Karan Johar, with no significant losses. Even if we were to entertain the idea of losses by Charan fans, they would likely be no more than ₹10 crores.

So, for a mere ₹10 crore loss, why would Karan Johar sell off ₹1,000 crores worth of stakes?

The extent to which these fan wars have devolved into absurdity is not just amusing but also highlights how disconnected some fans can be from reality.
