Anurag Basu is making a Kishore Kumar biopic and he has been in talks with Aamir Khan to play the lead role. Even Aamir was fascinated by his vision and felt honoured by the offer.
However, he has a lot of projects lined up for him. Currently he is finishing RS Prassana’s Sitaare Zameen Par.

It is speculated that he is currently in the development stage of 5 films. He is in talks with filmmakers like Rajkumar Santoshi, Kanagaraj and Zoya Akhtar. He also has been in talks for Ujjwal Nikam biopic and the sequel of his blockbuster film Ghajini.
However, the latest trends of the industry have shown that biopics are not working at the box office, Chandu Champion is an unfortunate example of the same in recent times. Fans feel Aamir’s decision to play this role might be a big mistake in his career.

Anurag Basu had tried to approach Aamir for a role with Ranbir Kapoor during the pandemic but it couldn’t develop any further. This time it seems that they are willing to come together but the stakes might be too high with the biopic genre.
