Elon Musk Speaking Rahul Gandhi’s Language

Elon Musk Speaking Rahul Gandhi’s Language

Elon Musk is one of the biggest innovators in the tech industry with some of the best futuristic ideas. Ironically, though, the richest man in the world is skeptical about the introduction of technology in the electoral process.

At a recent Republican rally, Musk supported paper ballots over the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for the presidential elections. As a man who knows a lot about computers, the Tesla founder said that he doesn’t trust them and it’s easy to hack those machines.

This is not the first time Musk has thrown shade at EVMs. In June, he raised similar concerns about hacking risks on X where he received some support from the Congress MP Rahul Gandhi.

The opposition parties in India have been speaking the same tongue as the American entrepreneur when it comes to how the elections should be conducted. After every election the role of EVMs is put into question and a reintroduction of Ballots becomes the focus.

On the other hand, the Indian government has defended the digital machines at polling stations claiming that Indian EVMs are safe and secure. However, Musk begs to differ as he responds, “Anything can be hacked.”

This debate seems to be never-ending as people struggle to come up with an election process that is fair, efficient, and easy to conduct.
