Popular Choreographer Remo D’Souza Booked in 12 Cr Fraud Case

Choreographer Remo D’Souza has recently landed himself in legal trouble. He has been accused of allegedly cheating a dance group of Rs. 11.96 crores. The case was registered in Thane, Maharashtra.

Apart from Remo, the charges have been imposed on his wife Lizelle alongside five more people, whose identities remain unknown.

The accuser is also a dancer and the police revealed that the complaint was filed under sections 465 and 420, which include allegations of forgery and cheating.

The FIR claimed that the cheating incident happened around six years ago and continued until this year.

As per the case, the group appeared on a TV show where they emerged as the winner in the end. The victim claimed that the accused reportedly posed as the troupe’s owner, claiming the entire prize money for themselves.

An official response from Remo and Lizelle is currently awaited. An investigation has been already launched into the matter.

The remaining accusers named in the matter are Omprakash Shankar Chouhan, Rohit Jadhav, Frame Production Company, Vinod Raut, and Ramesh Gupta.

Remo has been appearing as the judge of the reality show Dance Plus for all seven seasons. He even made a cameo appearance in the comedy film Madgaon Express, which was helmed by Kunal Khemu.
