Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gnanavel, was released in theatres on October 10th and acquired mixed responses from both critics and audiences.
The poor word of mouth from the audiences ended up being average in terms of collections at the box office collections as the occupancy in theatres was reduced after its first week.

In this scenario, in a recent interview, the host of the interview asked TJ Gnanavel about whether there are any chances for Vettaiyan’s sequel.
For this, TJ Gnanavel has replied that he is excited to do a prequel but not planning to do a sequel as he wants to explore more about the Athiyan character, which was played by Rajinikanth, and how he has evolved into an encounter specialist.

Also, he mentioned that he would like to explore more with Fahad Faasil’s character Battery and how he evolved from being a thief to a police informant if he directs the prequel of this movie, Vettaiyan.
For this, audiences were trolling that even Vettaiyan itself was a failure; how come he plans for a sequel? Also, his content-oriented movies are not suitable for Superstar.

Audiences were feeling that TJ Gnanavel should move on from Rajinikanth and should not collaborate again with him as it’s not good for both of them.
