YS Jagan Still Clueless About How To Handle Vizag

Vijaysai Reddy was dreaming about contesting for Vishakapatnam Parliament for a very long time.

In 2014, Jagan denied him a chance by bringing his mother, Vijaya Lakshmi. In 2019, realtor MVV Satyanarayana was given a chance.

After coming to power in 2019, Sai Reddy was made the incharge of Vizag area. During this time, Sai Reddy gained complete grip on the area. But there were allegations of rampant land grabbing and settlements with the support of the Rajya Sabha MP.

Jagan got alert due to the criticism of the Opposition and Intelligence reports and moved Sai Reddy out of Vizag two years before the 2024 elections.

His maternal uncle YV Subba Reddy was given the reins of Vishakapatnam.

In 2024 elections, Sai Reddy faced the first direct election of his life from Nellore Parliament and he lost by a whopping 2,45,902 votes margin.

In Vizag, YSR Congress drew a blank. In the four constituencies that cover Vizag City, the party’s candidates lost with massive majorities. TDP also won the Vishakapatnam Parliament with a massive margin.

Now, it looks like Jagan bowed down to the pressure of Sai Reddy.

In the latest appointment of the Regional Co-ordinators, Sai Reddy was given the responsibility of Vishakapatnam and Srikakulam while YV Subbareddy was moved to Kadapa and Anantapur.

Its been close to fifteen years of YSR Congress. The party has faced three elections and lost two. But Jagan seems to be still clueless about how to handle Vishakapatnam.

It is clear that the people of Vishakapatnam are afraid of YSR Congress-mark politics. For people of Vizag, YSR Congress is synonym to Rowdyism, land-grabbing, extortions, and settlements.

Jagan is doing nothing about it and is cluelessly changing in charges. If Sai Reddy who failed earlier was brought back, what are the corrections you are making after such a humiliating defeat?
