The cybersecurity firm McAfee has just released its ‘Celebrity Hacker Hot List’ for 2024, revealing the top 10 Indian celebrity names most commonly used by scammers to defraud people, taking the whole internet by surprise.
The list comes as a shocker to most people as Orhan Awatramani aka Orry tops the list, surpassing the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Alia Bhatt!

This has mostly been possible due to the exponential rise and visibility of Orry at almost every Bollywood event, making him the perfect target for cybercriminals, who use his name to lure unsuspecting fans. Singer Diljit Dosanjh made it to the 2nd spot, owing to his upcoming Dil-Luminati tour.
Other notable actors on the list were Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, along with prominent cricket personas like Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, and Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Public reactions to the list have been mixed, with people expressing immense surprise at Orry making it to the top. “I didn’t even know who Orry was until recently, and now he’s at the top of this list!”, commented a user on Social Media, voicing many similar thoughts.
These scams have been happening in many countries including India for a long time, where the fraudsters use the names of these celebrities to take advantage of their massive fan base for deepfakes, phishing campaigns, and other fraudulent activities.
