Director Srinu Vaitla has directed 18 films in his career and delivered some memorable films in the commercial zone, like Venky, Dhee, Ready, etc.
Though these are not path-breaking movies, his films did entertain people at the time, and he was a big name.

Cut to now: after a gap of a few years, he is back with Viswam, and a section of the audience genuinely wished for his big comeback.
Setting aside how Viswam fared at the box office, looking at the content, we can confidently say that Srinu Vaitla has not updated himself even a bit, which is the saddest part.

The story itself is from a decade ago, and the way he relied on a load of comedians, including the Jabardasth batch, raises questions about whether he genuinely fits into the current trends of where the movie industry is heading.
Neither Srinu Vaitla nor his writing team has shown a hint of hope that they can present a Vaitla-style film with “refreshing” humor.

This brings us to the question: Is there more juice left in Srinu Vaitla, or is it over? Even if he doesn’t make any more films, it is totally fine, as a few of his movies and comedy scenes are evergreen on YouTube, and he will be remembered.
However, he should not make another attempt unless he refreshes his humor style.
