Is It Reason Behind KCR’s Silence?

It has been 10 months since the elections were concluded in Telangana and Congress came into power. Since losing, BRS’s downfall has started in the state electorally, as it won zero seats in the Lok Sabha polls.

Keeping aside the dismal show of BRS post-assembly elections, what surprised everyone was the absence of its chief, K. Chandrashekhar Rao, in the public domain.

Since the conclusion of the assembly polls, KCR has not been seen in public for six months. In the summer, he campaigned for the Lok Sabha polls, but it was of no use as BRS didn’t manage to win a single seat.

After the Parliament elections, KCR was seen just one day in the assembly during the budget session. Later, he went back into exile and hasn’t come out till now.

In the last few months, Telangana witnessed various political issues, be it HYDRAA, the case against defected MLAs, or the fight between BRS and Congress MLAs.

Throughout all these issues, only KTR and Harish Rao drove BRS forward, but not KCR. When Congress leaders mocked BRS citing KCR’s absence, BRS leaders tried hitting back, saying that they are enough to handle Congress and KCR is not needed.

Meanwhile, sources say that KCR’s silence is an intentional strategy. According to reports, KCR wants to give Congress one year before attacking them.

He apparently feels that by then, people will know the pros and cons of the Congress government. He believes that people will receive criticism more logically if Congress is criticized after one year of governance.

In December this year, Congress completes one year of its governance. So, it remains to be seen if KCR chooses to come back to the public space after two months.
