Allu Arjun’s Pushpa is, as expected, shaking up the trade. The latest news is that the USA deal is valued at $15 million, which is an absolutely insane and unprecedented figure for a Telugu film so far.
The producers haven’t finalized the deal since it is a huge price; it’s on a refundable basis, which means if the film fails to meet the breakeven value, the producers will have to return the amount to the buyer.

Making profits solely from the Telugu version is unlikely, given how high the $15 million breakeven point is, but there is high hope for Pushpa 2’s performance in North America with its Hindi version.
If the Hindi version performs well, this film could set unprecedented records in the USA. However, for that to happen, the film needs to deliver big; otherwise, such massive numbers seem unlikely without the Hindi audience lining up to the theaters.
