Actor Nagarjuna recorded his statement at Nampally Court regarding the defamation case he filed against Telangana Cabinet Minister Konda Surekha.

Nagarjuna attended the court session along with his wife Amala, son Naga Chaitanya, and niece Supriya Yarlagadda. During the hearing, the court asked Nagarjuna the reason behind his petition.

Nagarjuna stated that Konda Surekha made disrespectful comments against his family, which disturbed their honour and reputation. He explained that his family has earned a good reputation through the film industry, and people across the country love and respect them. His family has also won various awards in the film arena.

Nagarjuna further added that his family has done significant philanthropic work for society.

He alleged that the minister made rude remarks, claiming that his son’s divorce from Samantha was caused by former minister KTR. Nagarjuna said that by making such statements, Konda Surekha attempted to damage the reputation of his family.

He requested the court to take criminal action against Surekha for her statements, calling them baseless and made with malicious political intent.

A few days ago, Konda Surekha alleged that BRS president KT Rama Rao was the reason behind Naga Chaitanya and Samantha’s divorce. She also made demeaning comments about Nagarjuna’s family.

The entire film industry united to condemn Surekha’s statements, and social media has been flooded with this controversy over the last few days.
