    95th Academy Awards: Jr NTR, Ram Charan’s ‘RRR’ misses out on Oscar nomination in Best Picture category | Telugu Movie News


    The Oscars 2023 nominations were announced by the Academy on Tuesday and to everyone’s shock Telugu film ‘RRR’ did not get shortlisted. It was said that the film would secure its place in the nominations list for the Best Feature Film at the 95th Academy Awards ceremony. However, the film’s song ‘Naatu Naatu’ has officially entered the Oscars race in the ‘Best Original Song’ category.
    After a great winning streak at Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice Awards, the film has officially entered the race for the Academy Awards. Earlier, ‘Naatu Naatu’ bagged the Golden Globes for the category ‘Best original Song’. The song also won the Critics’ Choice Award in the same category. The film also bagged the ‘Best Foreign Language Film’ at the Critics’ Choice Award.

    Apart from ‘RRR’, the Indian documentary ‘All That Breathes’ and the short documentary film ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ also bagged Oscar 2023 nominations in ‘Documentary Feature Film’ and ‘Documentary Short Film categories.

    The Academy shared the nominations for the Best Picture category on Twitter. The list includes the names of 10 films – All Quite on the Western Front, Avatar: The Way of Water, The Banshees of Inisherin, Elvis, Everything Everywhere All At Once, The Fabelmans, TAR, Top Gun: Maverik, Triangle of Sadness and Woman Talking.

    The Oscars are going to be held on March 13 this year and while the wait is going to be quite a long one from now, the nominations have sure lifted the spirits of not just the crew and cast of the films mentioned above, but also of everyone who hopes to see an Indian movie bagging the prestigious award.
