Ex-ESPN host Sage Steele joins Donald Trump’s family and former racing driver Danica Patrick on campaign trail ahead of Presidential election

Sage Steele’s political views have been part of her brand since her initial suspension from ESPN in 2021. Now the former SportsCenter anchor has hit the campaign trail for Donald Trump alongside Danica Patrick

Patrick and Steele were pictured together wearing pink ‘Women for Trump’ shirts while making political stops in Georgia.

The sports pair also snapped photos with Lara Trump, Tulsi Gabbard, and others in between campaign events at a local donut shop.

Steele’s conservative views have not surprisingly led her to backing Trump, as her ESPN suspension came in part due to her comments about former President Barack Obama.

During a podcast appearance with Jay Cutler, Steele stated she did not like Obama calling himself black because, like herself, he has a white mother.

Steele eventually left ESPN last year after settling a lawsuit against the company, claiming it censored her free speech.

‘If we truly love this country, we can no longer afford to live in fear,’ Steele said on social media on Thursday. ‘Time to do what’s right for all Americans. Facts over feelings. Policies over personality. It really is so simple.’

‘Awesome spending time with @laraleatrump some of the many supporters & volunteers for the Trump 47 campaign in Atlanta.’

Steele has claimed during her time at ESPN the network asked her not to talk about transgender swimmer Lia Thomas.

Thomas represented the University of Pennsylvania as a male athlete before transitioning to compete as a women. She went on to win a female national championship.

Steele was among those who voiced their opposition on social media to Thomas and other biological males competing in women’s sports.

Steele also spoke out after ESPN fired her friend Sam Ponder earlier this year.

‘This is another loss for ESPN, but it is a gain for literally the rest of the world because now you’re going to see the true Sam Ponder,’ Steele said on social media months back.

Steele also made sure to let the Trump supporters know that she spoke to this week how she felt while working at ESPN.

‘It is such an honor for me to be here and no longer be afraid, afraid to be true to who I am and all of you are. I think the last couple years have taught me that if we live in fear, we pay for it and our kids pay for it,’ Steele said on the campaign trail.

‘To live in fear for so long, is not okay, it is not the America that I grew up in.’

Patrick has been just as blunt in the political arena for years as her new-bestie Steele.

The motor-sports legend’s endorsement of Trump came weeks back, with an exclamation point to America’s critics to boot: ‘You can leave if you want’.

Over the course of her NASCAR career – and after the fact – Patrick, 42, has been in a number of high-profile relationships.

She dated fellow NASCAR driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr from 2012 to 2017 – which was entirely while the pair were on separate teams. After Stenhouse, she dated then-Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers for a period of two years.
