The Tirupati Laddu controversy has been making headlines nationwide in recent days. After it was discovered that adulterated ghee was used in the preparation of the Laddu under YCP’s government, the public was outraged, demanding strict action against those responsible.
The Government of Andhra Pradesh recently appointed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the issue. The team landed in Tirumala and started their investigation today.

Ahead of their investigation, SIT officials had Srivari Darshan and offered their prayers. The priests at the temple accompanied the officials throughout their darshan process and handed over prasadam to them after darshan.
After Srivari Darshan, SIT officials proceeded to Padmavati guest house where they would be holding a meeting. They will be in Tirupati for the next three days for their investigation.

SIT is led by the Guntur Range Inspector General of Police, Sarvashreta Tripathi. The team includes Tirupati ASP Venkat Rao, DSP Sitarama Rao, DSP Shiva Narayana Swamy, CI Satyanarayana, CI Uma Maheshwara Rao and CI Suryanarayana.
People are hoping that the SIT will uncover the conspiracy behind the adulteration of the Laddu’s ghee and ensure that no one involved in the scandal is left unpunished.
