The Tirupati Laddu issue continues to stir new controversies in Andhra Pradesh politics every day. Rather than accepting their wrongdoing, YCP leaders are coming up with various excuses and theories in an attempt to shift the blame.

Ahead of YCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Tirumala visit today, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) board asserted that they would appeal to him to sign the declaration form for Srivari darshan.

TTD affirmed that just as how other individuals from other religions are made to sign the declaration form, Jagan would also be asked to sign it. It was stated that he would be allowed for the darshan only if he signs the declaration form.

TTD officials stated that they would follow the board’s regulations if Jagan refuses to sign the declaration form. Jagan is expected to reach the Renigunta Airport this evening. Soon, he will proceed to Tirumala and is planning to have Srivari darshan tomorrow morning.

Generally, people from other religions should sign a declaration form near the 17th compartment of the temple. But for VIPs from other religions, TTD officials get their signatures from guest houses. Thus, they are planning to go to Jagan’s guest house tonight.

Meanwhile, BJP leaders demanded that Jagan declare his faith in Lord Venkateshwara at the Garuda statue before proceeding to Tirumala. They also asked for YV Subba Reddy, Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, and Dharma Reddy to sign as witnesses on the declaration form.

On the other hand, police officials have enforced Section 30 of the Police Act in Tirupati ahead of Jagan’s visit. According to this rule, prior permission is required for protests, rallies, or public meetings in the city.

Section 30 will remain in effect until October 30. Along with that, tight security measures are already in place at Alipiri in preparation for Jagan’s visit.
