Suriya is currently awaiting the release of his most anticipated movie, Kanguva, which is all set for a worldwide theatrical release on November 14th.
On the other hand, Suriya is currently acting as a lead in Karthik Subbaraj’s movie, which is tentatively titled Suriya 44. The shooting of this movie is currently happening at a fast pace and is expected to be released earlier next year.

In this scenario, there is a strong industry buzz that RJ Balaji is going to direct a movie with Suriya as the lead. RJ Balaji is known for his movies such as LKG and Mookuthi Amman. Both of these movies were tremendous successes.
RJ Balaji previously narrated a script to Vijay, but due to call sheet issues, that movie didn’t take off. After this, RJ Balaji acted as a lead in two different movies, and now he is currently directing a movie with Thrisha as a lead that is tentatively titled Maasani Amman.

Once he completes this movie, he is going to direct Suriya’s movie. If Kanguva became a blockbuster hit for Suriya, audiences may expect a bigger movie from Suriya, but Suriya is collaborating with RJ Balaji; will it be good for his market is a big question mark. Also, Suriya has spent more than 3 years on Kanguva, so after Kanguva, he is trying to act in more medium-budget movies.
Also, RJ Balaji is known for his comedy subjects, but Suriya hasn’t acted in a full-fledged comedy movie; also, his collaboration with Venkat Prabhu in the movie Mass was an utter flop.
