Sherilingampalli MLA Arekapudi Gandhi caused a stir in Telangana politics after being appointed as Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairman. While BRS MLAs criticized this action, Gandhi neither confirmed joining Congress nor stated that he remains with BRS.
After the heated situations between Arekapudi Gandhi and Padi Kaushik Reddy in Hyderabad, the first Public Accounts Committee (PAC) meeting presided over by new chairman Arekapudi Gandhi in the Assembly on Saturday also witnessed heated exchanges between the ruling and opposition parties.

In this context, the political circles are buzzing with the news of Gandhi attending the CLP meeting. When Revanth Reddy has given the responsibilities of PAC Chairman to Arekapudi Gandhi, the BRS MLAs staged a protest that Gandhi must resign from BRS first. However, Gandhi still refrained from confirming whether he is with Congress or BRS.
The war of words took place between both Congress and BRS. As the issue subsided, the latest PAC meeting also saw heated exchanges. The BRS MLAs claimed that their chief KCR had recommended the names of T Harish Rao, Prashanth Reddy, Kamalakar, L Ramana and Satyavathi Rathod for inclusion in the PAC but suddenly Gandhi was appointed as the chairman.

Amidst this row, Gandhi who claims to be in the opposition attended the CLP meeting, chaired by Telangana CM Revanth Reddy. BRS leaders are attacking Gandhi and calling out his double standards. We have to see how Gandhi reacts to these allegations.
