Actress Suffers Sexist Triptii Dimri Attacks!

Triptii Dimri

Triptii Dimri, who is known for her fabulous work in films like Qala and Bulbbul, recently was subjected to severe moral policing on various social media platforms, including X, where some users tried to character assassinate her by saying that no decent guy would ever marry such a girl. This comes in the wake of her recent films such as Animal and Bad Newz, where she got to play controversial roles.

Dimri has come forward to defend her work, showing that movies should show real-life complexities, and viewers anyway have a right to choose what they want to watch and what they don’t.

But the big question that arises from all this is why did she have to defend her work. Male actors do such controversial roles, if not more, all the time and no one even bothers to bat an eye towards their character. But the one time an actress does this, the whole internet goes pitchforks and starts the trolling and character assassinations.

The male actors are not only not criticized for their controversial roles, they are often praised for doing them! Movies like Animal and Kabir Singh become too popular all too soon because of the so-called “sigma” characters portrayed in them.

This problem is not something limited to the film industry. In fact, in almost any sector, women have to face some form of criticism and dodge questions about their characters as they rise in their careers. This reveals an inherent flaw in the very fabric of society, which enjoys labelling something as “inappropriate” based on its own biased perspective!
