For reasons unknown, well-known actors and directors have been working on OTT projects for some time. As per the latest updates, Karan Johar is also making his debut on Netflix with a new web series.
Sources claimed that the upcoming show would have popular female stars from Bollywood. The script has been reportedly locked and it is expected to go on floors next year, with a release date set for 2026.

Notably, Karan is not new in this streaming world except that this time, he would be in the director’s seat.
Karan’s show Gyaarah Gyaarah has already accumulated a huge fanbase after its arrival on Zee5. Furthermore, the last two installments of Koffee With Karan were released directly on Disney+ Hotstar.

But for now, the one thing that has created headlines is whether Karan can repeat the success that he has achieved in films.
Everyone is well aware that web series don’t face the pressure of recovering the money invested and everything depends on the overall viewership. This is one of the reasons why Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heermandi did so well when it was released in May this year.

Karan’s films have received praise for their music, performances, and sometimes, the intense themes. Meanwhile, his next film on the big screen is reported to be a magnum opus. Further updates on the same are currently awaited.
