Data shows a growing number of Indian Americans, mostly Hindus, leaning toward Trump, with 29% expressing support for him in the 2024 elections, up from just 16% in 2016.

The Indian American community is concerned about issues such as jobs, the economy, education, and crime.

Educational policies and rising crime rates, partly attributed to progressive policies, also contribute to dissatisfaction with the Democrats.
There is also frustration with the Biden-Harris administration’s handling of COVID-19 policies and free speech issues. Some Indian Americans feel that the administration has infringed on individual rights and failed to support free speech principles.
Additionally, anti-Hindu sentiments and issues with India’s policies have further strained relations. Controversies, such as those involving Kamala Harris’s comments on Kashmir and the Biden administration’s association with certain groups, have alienated some Indian American voters.
