Recently a video has surfaced on the internet, in which a conversation can be seen taking place between Anant Ambani, son of famous Industrialist Mukesh Ambani, and his father. In the conversation, it can be seen that while Mukesh wants to go to a hospital with his son, the son is reluctant and repeatedly uses lines such as “Please don’t come!”, and “There is no need for you to come!”.
The person who posted the video on X (formerly Twitter), wrote, “After earning so much money, still receiving contempt from children in public, what use is such money?” This has left many people wondering whether money can truly get you the respect you deserve from your family, let alone the world.

But as with any news, it is important to know the full facts before reaching any particular conclusion. While the conversation can be heard in the video, it is not evident what the conversation is about. It can also be a polite gesture on the part of the son towards his father as he doesn’t want him to face the crowd and discomfort of a hospital.
Regardless of the perspective, it is no news that more often than not, elderly parents have to face insensitivity and rude behaviour from their children in India as well as around the world. Elderly parents often have to spend their later days in old age homes, or in extreme cases, even on the streets, as their children don’t want to take care of them and begin to view them as a liability.
