The Ganesh Visarjan is currently underway and every year, a tradition is being carried out at every Ganesh pandal to auction the Laddu. Many places see people purchasing the Laddu for humongous amounts.
In one such instance, a gated community in Hyderabad has made headlines by buying the Ganesh Laddu for a record-breaking price the committee donated the money to charity.

Getting into details, the Ganesh Laddu at Richmond Villas in Bandlaguda fetched Rs. 1.87 crore during the auction. The community members jointly purchased the Laddu and decided to contribute the money to the RV Divya Charitable Trust.
Last year, the same gated community had bought the Laddu for Rs. 1.27 crore. This year, they broke their own record by paying Rs. 60 lakh more than the previous year.

Meanwhile, all eyes are on the upcoming auction of the iconic Balapur Laddu, which has been the most anticipated Laddu auction in the Telugu states for years.
Last year, the Balapur Laddu was sold for Rs. 27 lakh. It remains to be seen who will secure it in the auction this time.
