2019-24 was a nightmare for Amaravati farmers. After giving lands to the state capital, the farmers struggled big time after the Government changed.

After taking their lands, Jagan troubled them big time by not paying the promised annual payments, diluting the capital in the name of three capitals, and unleashing the Police on the agitating farmers.

Farmers of Amaravati took to the streets and protested for 1631 days for their rights.

We used to see the Police doing Lathi Charge and YSR Congress leaders abusing them with cuss words.

The farmers tried a lot to get Jagan’s appointment but could not get one in five years. There used to be house arrests and curtains to farmers’ houses whenever Jagan passed through Capital villages.

Cut to now, the Government has changed and good days are back for Amaravati and the farmers.

The other day, Minister Narayana visited the houses of the Errabalem farmers who were reluctant to give lands in Land Pooling.

He spoke to them directly and tried to clear their doubts. These lands are crucial as they come at the heart of the Master Plan.

Eleven farmers were convinced immediately and agreed to give their 11.27 acres of land for Land Pooling.

It has become a topic in Amaravati now. They are remembering how the then Chief Minister did not even give them an appointment to a Minister coming to their houses.

Chandrababu Naidu is determined to show some serious development in the Amaravati project this tenure so that there is no drama even if the Government changes.
