Barnet manager Dean Brennan launched an incredible rant against his own club’s fans in his post-match interview.
Brennan was unhappy at criticism from some supporters during Barnet’s 2-1 win at home to Altrincham, in which the Bees scored a late winner through Rhys Browne.
The National League side have won five and lost three of their first eight league games so far this season.
Speaking to the club’s YouTube channel after the game, Brennan said: ‘I don’t like the mans and groans from my supporters beside me, screaming rubbish at me when we’re 1-0 down.
‘We’ve played six games now without a recognised centre forward and I have to be honest with you, I think our level of performance has been outstanding. If they don’t want that, I’ll move on then. If that’s what they want, get someone else to do the job because I’m sick and tired of it. Just the miserable, moany lot. What’s wrong with them? Get behind the team.

‘If they’re going to be negative, go somewhere else and be negative. It’s their money, they can do what they want. But I can say what I want on here as well and how I really feel, because I don’t pull no punches.’
Brennan also hit out at fans who criticised players on social media, including goalkeeper Nick Hayes.
He said: ‘We’ve got young lads that read the social media. I don’t read it, I’m not on it, but I’ve got stuff on social media going against my goalkeeper. Does that help does it? All geniuses now and all want to clap you off.’
Brennan called for fans to show character and also stated that any supporters that want to have a discussion with him about the team are free to do so.
He said: ‘You know what happens in the tough times? You see the real characters, the real people. That’s what I’m looking for. Character! In this group. Character! I want the fans to come with us, with it.
‘There’s a message for you. Do not edit that by the way, I want that to go out because that’s very important. We’re very open and honest with our supporters. All I’m hearing is negativity when we’re playing well.
‘I’ve got to listen to that moaning in my ear. Just relax. I know what I’m doing. I took this team over bottom of the table. Have a look where you are. There’s a lot of other teams below us.

The Barnet boss was frustrated with the size of the crowd for the game at The Hive
‘I’m very, very angry and frustrated and if any fan wants to come and see me, my door is open. Come in and see me. Have a cup of tea with me and I’ll explain where we’re at, who’s injured and what’s happening.’
Furthermore, Brennan hit out at fans who complained about the beer being served at the club’s The Hive ground.
He was left disappointed that only around 900 fans attended the game against Altrincham.
He continued: ‘All I ever here is moaning. Moaning about the chairman, the beer’s not good enough, that’s not good enough. Come on man, get behind the group.
‘There was only 900-odd fans here tonight. It was announced as 1200 but there was only 900 hundred. Yeah, we’re a big club aren’t we?’.
Barnet have since launched an initiative that will enable fans to attend their game at home to Fylde on September 28 for a reduced price of £5.
