Vijay’s Party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam Gets Recognized By Election Commission


Thalapathy Vijay’s political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), has been officially recognized by the Election Commission. TVK announced the news officially through social media.

It was stated that the party applied for official recognition with the Election Commission on February 2. After examining the application, the Election Commission registered TVK officially and approved its participation in elections.

In his official note, Vijay stated that it is the first door opened to the party to achieve success in various directions. As EC approved TVK’s application, the party is expected to expand its political activities.

After much anticipation, Vijay launched his political party earlier this year. He said that his party will fight for caste-free, corruption-free society.

Recently, Vijay also unveiled his party’s flag and symbol. The flag features red colour on top, yellow in the middle and maroon at the bottom. Two Elephants and a Vaagai flower are placed in the middle, symbolizing victory.

Vijay is aiming to contest in the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections. Till then, he is expected to expand his cadre by actively participating in political events.

On the film front, Vijay was recently seen in the movie The Greatest of All Time (GOAT). Directed by Venkat Prabhu, this movie was released on September 5.
