GOAT (Hindi) Surprises: Poor But Not Disastrous

GOAT (Hindi)

Thalapathy Vijay’s The GOAT has had a diverse reception across various regions. In Tamil Nadu, the film is performing exceptionally well, with a record-breaking Saturday collection of approximately ₹28 crore.

The three-day total in Tamil Nadu is estimated to be around ₹80 crores, and projections suggest that the extended weekend could see earnings in the range of ₹110 crores.

In Karnataka, The GOAT has achieved average results, failing to generate much excitement. In Kerala, the film is moving towards a flop, and in the Telugu states, it is an epic disaster. These disappointing results in key markets highlight the film’s uneven appeal.

Surprisingly, the North Belt is showing a positive response to The GOAT, and the film might just surprise everyone by putting up a decent total over time.

After a drop on Friday, GOAT took a nice jump in Hindi and collected around ₹2.80 crore on Saturday, bringing its total to approximately ₹7 crore over three days.

With a potential 4-day weekend collection of about ₹10.5 crore, the film’s performance in the Hindi market is poor but not entirely disastrous.

The film’s potential was significantly impacted by its lack of release in national chains, which likely dampened its prospects by about 35 to 40%. Despite this challenge, the Saturday jump in earnings suggests that The GOAT is having some kind of trend in the Hindi market.

While the film’s performance in Hindi is nothing great, the upward trend indicates that it’s not being rejected as completely as Indian 2 was in Hindi.

This improvement offers some hope that The GOAT could continue to perform steadily over the next few weeks in the Hindi-speaking regions.
