This suspicion has led police to initiate an investigation into the ownership of the boats involved in the collision. TDP leaders have suggested that the boats were tied together with a single chain before crashing into the barrage, raising questions about whether this was a coordinated act.

There are suspicions that the boats belonged to followers of former MP Nandigam Suresh. Locals are also alleging that the boats involved in the incident were owned by YSRCP leaders, speculating that the collision may have been a deliberate act.

As the police traced the boat owners, they identified them as Ushadri from Gollapudi and Komati Rammohan from Surayapalem. Reports indicate that the boats had been operating under the leadership of former MP Nandigam Suresh for several years, adding to the suspicions around his involvement.

The state government is treating the matter with gravity, as the deliberate collision of boats with the Prakasam Barrage could have serious implications for the safety of the structure and surrounding areas.
