Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu made some interesting picks in his Cabinet this time. One such good pick is Palakollu MLA Nimmala Ramanaidu.
Ramanaidu is known to be a People’s MLA and has won three elections on a trot from Palakollu. In the recent election, his majority is one of the highest in the state. His success story is majorly because of the availability to the people at any time and also his simplicity.

He was given the crucial Water Resources Ministry and he is showing good progress in the pending projects.
Along with Chandrababu Naidu, he is the most hard-working Minister in Vijayawada Floods.

Ramanaidu was entrusted with the duty of overseeing the repair works of Budameru Breaches.
The Minister has been working day and night for the last four days without going home. The Minister is also having food with the workers at the site. Last night the works were disrupted for about four hours due to heavy rain.

But the Minister persisted and ensured that the work did not stop despite getting drenched in rain.
The local people appreciate the Minister’s hard work and commitment.
There are six breaches downstream of Velagaleru Regulator, three on the side of Vijayawada and the rest towards Ibrahimpatnam. The second breach is likely to be repaired by tonight.
According to officials, the absence of road connectivity to the points of breach is proving to be a big challenge as there is a need to rope in heavy machinery such as trucks and earth movers at the sites. Loose soil and gushing water is complicating the situation.
