YS Sharmila Shows More Political Maturity Than Jagan

YS Sharmila

Even though they are siblings, there is a huge difference between the political personalities of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and YS Sharmila.

For the last few days, Jagan has been constantly blaming the current government for the natural disaster that occurred in the state due to heavy rainfall. On the other side, his sister delivered mature statements instead of blaming the government.

Earlier today, Sharmila visited Singh Nagar in Vijayawada, one of the flood-affected areas, and spoke with the victims. Later, she spoke to the media and stated that both the state and central governments should take necessary steps to protect people living in flood-affected regions.

She praised Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s efforts in handling the crisis.

During the media interaction, a reporter told Sharmila that former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy had alleged the disaster was caused by the lifting of Budameru’s gates, despite there being no gates on the rivulet. Sharmila couldn’t help but laugh after hearing this statement.

When asked if the state government had failed in its relief efforts, Sharmila responded by saying that more could be done. “Perhaps the government can do more to make sure that such situations don’t arise again. Removing encroachments around water bodies is especially necessary,” she said.

Reacting to her brother Jagan’s comments against the government during the crisis, Sharmila said, “This blame game over the Budameru disaster is unnecessary at this time.”

After hearing her statements, many people felt that Sharmila appeared to be a more mature politician than her brother, showing a better understanding of how to handle the situation and what to say at the right time.
