Norway princess Martha Louise is getting married to her partner, Durek Verrett, a self-styled shaman from US, very popular in Hollywood. The festivities have begun in Norway as on Friday, the guests are travelling by sea to Geiranger. The couple who has been in news for the royal family’s grave disapproval over the relationship will tie the knot on Saturday at a private event.
Martha, the 52-year-old princess who was once married with an artist announced her engagement with 49-year-old Verrett in 2022.
Martha’s previous marriage
The princess – the eldest of Norwegian King Harald’s two children – was previously married to the late writer and artist Ari Behn, with whom she had three daughters – Maud, Leah and Emma. The two divorced in 2017. Behn, who had discussed suffering from depression, died on Christmas Day 2019. King Harald, 88, is one of Europe’s longest-serving monarchs.
