Koratala Siva is one of the most calculated commercial filmmakers in Telugu cinema and he is currently working on his most ambitious project till date – Devara. As the film heads for release on the 27th of September, we are hearing an interesting update on the show timings.

As per the latest reports on social media, Devara will have late-night shows in the Telugu states starting from 1 AM in the night. This is a super ambitious plan to go for so early shows if the team actually goes through with this plan.

Earlier, after Janatha Garage’s release, Koratala himself spoke in an interview about the mixed talk that got generated from the early morning 4 AM shows. “Somewhere NTR’s mass appeal is bigger. Moreover, the 4 AM shows are only watched by fans and they have their own meter about how the film must be, and when that is not matched, they give divided talk. But they are not the real audience. The real audience start from 8:45AM”

After assessing the mixed talk that was seen in the case of Janatha Garage, Koratala again braving to go for early shows for Devara has become a topic of discussion.

1 AM shows in India mean that the show timings will be almost on par with the USA premieres which is another interesting aspect.

At the same time, the 1 AM shows will greatly hype up the theatrical debut as many will get to experience the film and subsequently spread the talk right from early in the day. This is a substantial risk that Devara is taking. But this might also be a sign that the team and the main men, NTR and Siva are so very confident.
